The 10th Annual latest edition of the Vijay Awards was Started yesterday June 3, 2015 and it turned out to be a star-studded affairs full Night with Huge Fans bans. Some of the biggest names in the Tamil industry - right from Kamal Haasan to Dhanush - graced the occasion and added a new Level to it. 
The event Encrafted as the perfect platform to honour the best in the Tamil industry and encourage them all to keep on doing good work even more. 

Besides Honours, it also helped stars reneunion their old friendships and catch up with each other. When all was said and done, the best of lot walked away with the spoils and gave their fans a reason to celebrate. Here's the winners' list for the Vijay Awards 2018

Favourite Director - Atlee (Mersal) 


Young film-maker Atlee won the 'Favourite Director' award for Mersal and The film marked his second collaboration with Vijay. 

Best Director - Pushkar Gayathri (Vikram Vedha) 


Pushkar and Gayathri bagged the 'Best Director' award for their crime-thriller Vikram Vedha. The Power Couple Prove their Talents after many Struggles. 

Favourite Film & Hero - Mersal & Vijay


Vijay's action-drama Mersal bagged the 'Favourite Film & Hero' award and gave the star's fans a reason to rejoice. Directed by Atlee it also had Kajal Aggarwal in the lead and was a treat for 'Vijay' fans. 

Favourite Heroine - Nayanthara 


Tamil cinema's 'Lady Super Star' was the 'Favourtite Heroine' much to the delight of her die-hard fans. 

Best Actor Male - Vijay Sethupathi (Vikram Vedha)


'Makkal Selvan' bagged the honour courtesy his raw and intense act in the commercially successful Vikram Vedha. As expected, fans were quite happy about the underrated star.

  Jyothika Pooja for Kaatrin Mozhi Jyothika began shooting on Monday for her next titled Kaattrin Mozhi, a remake of Bollywood hit Tumhari Sulu. Directed by well known Radha Mohan who gave Jothika   career one of evergreen   best movie Mozhi, the film is produced by Dhananjeyan. A huge apartment complex set Was erected in the Chennai where shooting commenced with Jyothika, Vidarth, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Kumaravel and Mohanram   features in the movie. Lakshmi Manchu also plays a Guest   role beside Uma Padmanabhan, Seema Taneja and Sindhu. AR Rahman's relation   A.H.Kaashif composes the music. Suriya and Sivakumar were spotted at Pooja that took place this Monday morning prior to the shoot. Rajinikanth’s request to Karthik Subbaraj  After the stupendous success of Kabali, Rajinikanth has Shankar’s 2.O, Pa Ranjith’s Kaala and Karthik Subburaj’s film in his hands. In this, Sun Pictures will be producing Karthik Subburaj’s film. This yet to be titled film will have the music of Anirudh. The pre-production works are going on in rapid pace. Vijay Sethupathi will be donning an important role in this film.  Earlier it was Rumored that heroines Deepika Padukone, Trisha and Anjali were being considered for the female lead role.
